Considering Life Coaching
In addition to my many pursuits and activities, there are those individuals who have been urging me to become a life coach. Yes, potential paying clients are lining up who have asked me to give them advice in this or that area.
Now, telling people what to do is right up my alley. The fact that I might actually possess some insights into one or two, if not a dozen topics is icing on the cake. What concerns me most is that I know myself and given my already-abundant schedule, I would most likely have to operate on 10-minute coaching calls, wedging them inbetween my normal activities, rather than scheduling half- or one-hour sessions.
Client: “Right, so about the IPO and when to release it–. What was that?”
Possible Scenario #2:
Client: “Do you think I can realistically lose 25 pounds in the next month to nail the modeling contract before the season starts?”
Moi: “Absolutely, we need to break it down into manageable parts.”
Client: “Excuse me?”
Possible Scenario #3:
Client: “Yes, I’d like to inquire about your services and prices–.”
Moi: “Well, you know what they say, ‘If you have to ask, it’s probably too expensive.’”
Moi: “Yes, the gondola has almost arrived at my villa….”
It could be a short-lived side career.
