Holidays are Here: Zoolights!
Most show animals, of course, whether on land or by sea. But there are the shooting stars and the twinkling snowflakes, and the light-wrapped trees without which, we could not live. The fuchsias, blues, reds, violets and greens raise their colors to entirely-new heights in hues.
It’s awesome, it’s free and it’s held from Thanksgiving to New Year’s each year. Visit from 5 to 9 pm for thousands of lights, lots of visitors enjoying the pedestrian outdoor event. Even a few of the animal exhibits are open at night, just to warm you up should you need to step inside. Plus, there are drinks, snacks and Build-Your-Own-S’mores for sale.
However, most of all, the light and laser shows outdoors mesmerize even the most miserly this holiday season. From toddlers to teens, strolling couples to entire families, you can walk from one end to another in under an hour, along with stops for photos and entering a building or two. Or, take longer and make it a leisurely night.
