I Believe the Female Fox Newscasters
I’ve wondered that for years. I don’t get it. Maybe I work in much more conservative realms in our nation’s capital, but when a grown woman wears a sleeveless, low-cut top or a halter and a short skirt in the middle of winter, along with the hair and the bright makeup, it generally signals that she’s not to be taken seriously. So, if a woman doesn’t agree with this kind of dress code or less-than-professional environment, why work there?
When the president of the company turns out to be some kind of pervert, you don’t always know that from Day One. Sexual harassment is a sneaky thing, filled with he said / she said, particularly when the cameras are off. Yes, women should be able to wear whatever they want, work wherever they want, and not have to put up with whatever they don’t want.
But life rarely works like that.
So the next time some sleezeball makes a move in your direction, just say no… and then, get up and go. Things will not improve. It’s not going to get any better. When professional women complain and leave, the truth comes out and the men will suffer the consequences.
Kudos to all of the Fox News women who have done just that.
