Monday Mottoes #140
Many are the thoughts and ruminations when it comes to Mother’s Day. For some, it’s a happy celebration, for others, bittersweet with the consideration of their own struggle to conceive or their own mother’s passing….
For many, it’s a realization that there are no days off, even Mother’s Day, lol. Which brings us to today’s mottoes, two of them, since we ladies are used to multitasking-!
“My mother was the most beautiful woman I ever saw. All I am I owe to my mother. I attribute all my success in life to the moral, intellectual and physical education I received from her.” ~George Washington
“Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.” ~Proverbs 31:28
In today’s society, it may not happen all the time, but I believe that mothers who bless their families, as well as CEOs who behave compassionately and morally, as well as politicians who put the good of their constituency before their own aims… can expect to be recognized for their character and their deeds. They should not be ignored nor downtrodden and attacked.
Today, recognize someone who’s doing the right thing, rather than only railing against those who do the wrong thing. Celebrate those who quietly go about their daily business, making the people they touch and the world around them a better place.
Happy Monday, everyone!
