Monday Mottoes – #152
Look at that sweet doggy face. He stares up at you, waiting, longing to get a response. He nuzzles into your leg or stretches across your lap, luxuriant in sleep, twitching and running free in his dreams. He lets you pick him up, cradle him like a baby, dress him in a coat, brush his fur and feed him treats.
Dogs respond to love with buckets of the same in return. I love them.
Naturally, we always love those dogs of our own family. However, as a whole, anyone’s dog is lovable, unless they’ve been trained to be otherwise. They say that happy dogs come from happy families and vicious dogs result from vicious families.
Dogs are just good eggs. Which brings us to today’s motto:
“If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and man.” ? Mark Twain
Today, try acting like a dog— don’t hold a grudge, don’t talk too much, be loving and approachable, wag your tail and be thankful for the small treats of life. Dogs may know a few things we haven’t figured out, yet.
Happy Monday, everyone!
