Monday Mottoes – #157
You’ve heard about “Always a bridesmaid, never a bride”, but today we have a slight variation adapted to business. We’ll get to our quote in just a minute, but here’s a thought: Don’t be a lady-in-waiting, or a guy-in-waiting, always waiting on someone else for your success.
Sure, a number of endeavors take team effort. You might need somebody to market your product, publish your book, promote you to vice president, or take your social media blurb viral. But eventually, it’s got to come down to you. If whomever you thought could help, can’t, then you need to move on and find someone who can.
You need to press on, in the right direction, and with the right team. You must delegate and draw up timelines and recruit staff and motivate with enthusiasm. You. Me. Stop blaming others. But start enlisting others. Multiply yourself. Minions matter.
But here to put a serious matter into a humorous perspective is our Monday motto:
“I couldn’t wait for success, so I went ahead without it.” ~Jonathan Winters
Be assured that success is there, on the other side.
Happy Monday, everyone!
