Monday Mottoes – #165
Write their research papers. Okay, proofread their research papers which end up with enough red ink that makes me thinking of squeezing blood out of a turnip….
And do 101 tasks that they seem incapable of doing about which I will not bore you, but suffice it to say, I stay up late and get up early every day of my life.
If you think today’s Super Moon, so close to the earth and something that will not happen for another 700 years is any big deal, well, let’s just say that for me to take 5 minutes to open a home decorating magazine is on par with that. Even one of our dogs climbed on top of my lap just to reinforce that I was not alone.
I know that we should all take time for ourselves. I get it. But how to do it is another matter. Which brings us to today’s motto, just in time for the approaching holidays:
“I think women are natural caretakers. They take care of everybody. They take care of their husbands and their kids and their dogs, and don’t spend a lot of time just getting back and taking time out.” ~ Reese Witherspoon
Therefore, today, when you’re tempted to eat lunch at your desk, or not eat lunch at all, much less breakfast, when you think you don’t have a minute to call a friend nor light candles at the table, pray or go for a power walk or even take a power nap, reconsider and recharge yourself. A strong “you” matters.
Happy Monday, everyone!
