Monday Mottoes – #179
I love motivational books, CDs, DVDs. They’re so powerful and usually work to get us over the idea of anything that might hinder great achievements. The live presentations are often replete with smoke and pyrotechnics, shouting, clapping— a revival meeting of sorts.
I like that. Our abilities and enthusiasm are being revived.
“The whole idea of motivation is a trap. Forget motivation. Just do it. Exercise, lose weight, test your blood sugar, or whatever. Do it without motivation. And then, guess what? After you start doing the thing, that’s when the motivation comes and makes it easy for you to keep on doing it.”
~ John C. Maxwell
That can work. Do the right things and the feelings will follow. Make a commitment to yourself to be and do your best.
Happy Monday, everyone!
