Monday Mottoes – #215

choiceDepending on your age and personality type, you’re probably either a planner or a fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants-er. Some like to “let life happen and see where it leads them”, while others choose to take more of a directing role. You know, Type A or Type B.  Whatever works for you.

Most people who know themselves well, understand how they operate best. They also understand that trying to change others rarely works.

Someone with a disorganized mind may be taught to schedule, or plan ahead, or make lists in order of priority. Those who tend to over-plan can be encouraged to relax and let go. But rarely do these attempts choiceslast for long without prolonged attention.

The bottom line is, whatever choices we make in life tend to have outcomes. This is an idea that’s not embraced by those who wish to blame circumstances, or others, for their own decisions, which brings us to today’s motto:

“In this life, we have to make many choices. Some are very important choices. Some are not. Many of our choices are between good and evil. The choices we make, however, determine to a large extent our happiness or our unhappiness, because we have to live with the consequences of our choices.” ~ James E. Faust

Work from the end result, the intended outcome, to see what decision you might need or want to make today. Happy Monday, everyone!
