Monday Mottoes – #48

indexIs it possible to live a life of no excuses? I wonder.

Do we make excuses and justify ourselves because we have done wrong, or do we simply shrug off the idea of being less than perfect? Or, do we continue striving and give ourselves a coronary in the process? Which, of course, does not take into account people who are naturally perfect….

I think it’s important to try, even if no one else around you is trying. It might be in the area of making ends meet in a difficult economy, working on yourTired runner sweating after running hard on countryside road. relationships, getting good grades, thinking of others, a healthy diet and exercise plan, driving safely, being grateful, and so much more. Which brings us to today’s motto:

aerobicscrampsquote1“Aerobics: a series of strenuous exercises which help convert fats, sugars, and starches into aches, pains, and cramps.” ~Unknown

Let’s face it: things often have to get worse before they can become better. No pain, no gain. Then again, too much pain, and no one will remain.

Keep it all in perspective. Suffering does not necessarily make a saint. If you see life as a series of aches, pains, and cramps, you’ll quit. But if you have a vision of something better, all of the strenuous exercises will be worth it.

Keep the vision, keep the faith, and keep moving forward.

Happy Monday, everyone!
