Monday Mottoes – #50
Nobody likes to see their children or loved ones go through difficult times. Yet, trying circumstances come to us all. Occasionally, they happen, as a talkative taxi driver once educated me, due to the vagaries and vicissitudes of life. However, more frequently, they happen because of our own mistakes.
And that’s a difficult pill to swallow.
“How could I be so stupid-?!” we beat ourselves up.
“A man must be big enough to admit his mistakes, smart enough to profit from them, and strong enough to correct them.” ~ John C. Maxwell
Why bemoan the past when you can profit from the past? Better yet, you have a choice how to learn your lessons in life: either get a mentor, or face more than your fair share of mistakes. Personally, I prefer the mentor.
Still, the mistakes will come, and when they do, correct them in whatever way you can. Don’t cry, correct. And then get back on course.
Happy Monday, everyone!
