Somewhere along the journey of life, something has gone wrong. Boundaries have been crossed, whether verbally or physically, creating great angst and debilitation.

Why are you the target? Do you need to stand up for yourself? Do you need to walk away? How can you remove yourself from someone trying to tear you down?

Which brings us to today’s motto:people-talking

couple-arguing2Today is the day to say enough. It might be a child, a boss, a mate, a friend…. Wow, who needs friends like this-?!

If they cannot, or will not, stop the abuse, you must. Find a way to remove yourself, first emotionally, but then physically. You are not someone else’s punching bag. You have value and worth, which is probably what makes your tormentor dislike you even more.

No doubt they feel weak, and powerless, and pitiful. That’s their issue, not yours. They must do the work in their own life and banish their own demons and come to grips with their own destiny.

For now, forget about them and spending every waking moment on either trying to rescue them or wondering how to do away with them. Focus on yourself and on maintaining distance. You’re not their put-down target of the day. You have great things to accomplish… with or without them. So get up and go.
