The Monday Mug Club: #7

If your Monday mornings are anything like mine, sometimes your get-up-and-go has got-up-and-gone.  That’s when you might be out at work, on the road, or in the air, and the take-out, to-go white paper coffee cup is all you’ve got.

But it’s wonderful.

Some warm chai, or steaming coffee gets you going.  Mine is always the same:  a shot or two of decaf, dry cappuccino (steamed foamy milk only, no liquid), a sprinkle of cinnamon….

Did you know that 1/2 a teaspoon of cinnamon a day could help lower LDL cholesterol, regulate blood sugar, stop yeast infections, improve arthritis within one month, reduce the proliferation of cancer or lymphoma cells, plus help cognitive function and memory (the last just by smelling it)?  So, if I’m out and about, I add a sprinkle of chocolate plus a bigger sprinkle of cinnamon powder and I know I’m armed and dangerous for the day ahead.

Here’s a cappuc that Benedetto bought me the other day.  I think something like this would be a great way to greet any Monday.  Could you be a dear and run and get me one?

Thanks.  And Happy Monday!

I would love to drink coffee, but I just can’t seem to get past the taste! I have tried several times, to no avail. I, however, do love Dr. Pepper and drink that in the morning for my “get up and go” drink. And Monday, I drank it from a very pretty polish pottery mug! I am a lover of blue, so their pottery always draws me to look at it. I bought the mug along with a second just like it a few summers ago. I sent one to my dear friend in Texas. So when we drink from our mugs, we can think of each other and pretend that we are sitting at the table together having wonderful conversations!
